Dear editorial,

its true statement of dr. sci.Igor Catic that only few of

us are willing to respond publicly, and because of

several reasons why. First, those who know the problem

do not want to expose themselves, because it could

cause them troubles by someone, superior person for inst. at work place,

may be understood wrongly.

Then, there is neighbors judging and commented and the

acquaintances comments, family audience, all may think or tell that

we pretend mighty smart! And that editorial desk printed just our article

'because in some of their newsrooms sit some friend, relative or so ... '

that pushes just our article be printed not the others...

Secondly, where to begin to respond?
Whether from PETpackage, which is carcinogenic for inst. It is not just a question

how many hectoliters people have to drink to the level

intake of toxic or lethal dosis in ppm, which exceeds the limit,

whose excess is creating conditions for the occurrence of

malformations.
Because it does not matter when you drink hectoliters

from the PET bottles in large quantities in

large / small-time, but also in small quantities over a long

period of time: You do not have to drink hectoliters of wine in a half

year, you can drink two liters of water, all kinds

refreshments throughout the days in 10, 20, 30, years

if the cumulative effect damage your liver, the wall

stomach, spleen ...
The question is who sets the limit,

whether it truly represents the safety threshold? When

we know that the EPA approved GMO'food 'as safe

1994, but had not conducted any test proof,
on the other hand seeking for 3-4-5 years

toxicological analysis of the pesticides in order to prove

their safety in the application ...

We have also other materials in everyday use which are toxic,

carcinogenic, harmful, but does anyone cares...

Tomato concentrate is sold in a nice lead

tubes, it goes like that for decades.

Do not we really know how lead affects our body?

Teflon pans are in daily use, and

teflon is carcinogenic ...

If anyone spent time in testing teflon, those data are well sealed...

Asbestos is banned for being known as carcinogen,
but glass wool, the thermal insulator is

equally harm to our lungs, eyes

and has to be forbbiden as the asbestos was...

PVC is a very practical,who cares for the harmfulness of PVC,
someone may tell you that no one do not eat from
the windows frames. True. But when these

light carpentry, burst into fires the thermal decomposition occurs into many toxic fumes that are carcinogenic.

And fires happens each day ...as well as the possibility of smoke inhalation.

Many people do not know that inhalation of wood fumes can cause

your death in HALF AN HOUR time

The wood is not usually harmful at all.

And the inhalation of harmful smog fumes from Zagorska termal plant

regularly from late Autumn to the Spring in the windless calm days,
after sunset, is not healthy at all.

Its impossible to go for a walk on Trešnjevka part of Zagreb

You will be almost poisoned by this smog. Your hair and clothes will stink...

A radiation detector in Osijek gives right the citizens of this

city to know what their risk from radioactivity coming from

Hungary, but Zagreb is closer to nuke plant Krško and

there is no detector of radiation for Zagreb's citizens at all.

We can do a myriad of topics, such as the acidic Pliva's

sewage that broke in 80-es of last century was found too late,

contaminate water soures on the right bank of river Sava: Jarun

was well soaked by the acid factory Pliva contamination but Jarun is

now turned into water protected zone?
So who cleansed the pollution of acid Pliva's factory sewage colaps in 80-es
from the soil of Jarun?
No one, of course,  it's still there...
For that once enters the soil, there are no magic stick that will remove

harmful substances out of it ...

No abracadabra helps, no sim salabim...NOTHING!

Or is that the thema dioxin we can talk about, came out of

burning incinerator plant, polluted Zagreb's water protected zones

exactly Mala Mlaka, Jarun-maybe not, who can say it for sure

when the test was not conducted to prove how many dioxine was

in the soil, how many finished in the waters?

If by our luck, the tests are done,

do the citizens of this city have right to know the results?!

And it was so, for around burnt plant the grass was not growing,

from the simple fact that the dioxin is also the total herbicide!

Or the radiation from base cells towers on the roofs of houses quietly, but

persistently, destroying tenant's not only the brain for 24 hours

a day, 365 days a year ...

These are topics about which we do not want to, we can not or we are not

let speak about...

It is about the taboo topics. It all depends on the whether we are mature
enough for the TRUTH!
And what about it, what we will do possessing knowledge about it ...
Shall we change anything or we will remain calm awaiting for the some
knight on the horse to solve problems for us...

Therefore, people do not react!
