ROCK WOOL DISCUSSION

Rock Wool-The cheap houses at approx. 19, 000 euros

Long time I have feeling that I betrayed readers of this article in the sense not to supply enough data they are looking in internet for and this is truly sad for there are no sufficient data written on this matter.
My worries rose up seeing in TV news report on production the cheap houses, each wall stuffed with the huge amount of glass-rock wool. I truly worry for the health of the residents of that houses...

The fact is as I said that the small 'needles' of glass wool are easy and as that taken by each tiny stream of the air can travel around, in the air, freed by the vibrations of the passing by traffic, elevators in the houses, jumping children around, simply walking around your apartment whose walls are stuffed by the glass wool, the unbreakable doors stuffed as well by the rock wool...

If you travel by plane a lot think twice do you need to travel that often by this vehicle, for all inner walls of the plane are covered with the layers of glass wool, how can you measure how many of that finish in your lungs, your stomach, your eyes and how many are needed to pierce yours alveolus, causing them to loose its function irrevocably.

For your substitute your trip instead by the plane, by the train, your choice is not much better.Due to excellent insulation properties, the train walls are as well stuffed by the glass wall.

Going by bus, you will face the same problem.

The kiosks walls are not exception, your trailer, so help you Lord,  is traveling store of glass wool.
Do they put them in the cars, frankly I do not know, but I would not be much surprised if they would do it.
The wooden houses of the USA and not only there, all are made in the same way.
Just look at the debris left over after the hurricane passed by...
As long as the legislative measures of your, my or any other country will FORCED them not to stuff our environment by this extremely harm matter, then the situation will improve and the lung cancer of non smokers will drop dramatically...

But which country ban rock wool by law? Instead, people are encouraged by adds, by law to move and live in so called the 'low energetic houses' that are highly dangerous for your health.

And this is not all, measuring content of asbestos in German apartments the technicians found out that the asbestos is still present, mixed by cement used for building apartments, houses, school, hospitals...
So, although banned, asbestos is smuggled into cement, and this cement was not controlled on asbestos for no one came to idea that it might happen.
Unfortunately, to us happen many things and situations that were unthinkable to get involved with us. This is one of those.

Several years ago in Istria, Croatia, Podpican, Rock Wool built factory in the agricultural area of Istria. The residents protested, wrote the petitions, appeals, but they got reply that glass is not harm, can not poison so what they want. It was mentioned that in Spain such the factory is built near by the wine yards so what. No one complained...
True, but tell me to which country they are exporting that grapes, or they are eating self?

I truly send now, by this article, my appeal to the governments of the all countries to bring the legal measures for glass-rock wool will be put out of use.

There are the other materials with the good insulation properties  that can substitute harm rock wool, and they have to, for your lungs, damaged by glass particles will not renew its tissues, ever.

And we went so far that Dr. Oz gave his advice for the people should aerate their  living spaces in the morning for the air is less polluted, due almost no cars around by night.

The worlds media wrote that 8 year girl living on the big crossroads in China got ill by the lung cancer as the youngest one got it ever...Sad news.

Would you guess why?

Keep in mind that the brakes are still made of the asbestos, for safety comes first, chloro-benzene in led free gasoline causes cancer,  and the data how led affects health are well known...

Having in mind that in last 50 years this globe lost 50 percent of its lungs, the rain forests, our forecast is not good at all, for Chinese people are chocking in smog, the destiny awaiting us in near future is the same, not favorable at all...

We triplicated on the globe at the same time, tree times more people are breathing the air whose oxygen production fall 50 percent.

Just think about. And act!

If you want your children, and the children of their children will breath freely and nicely, the fresh air we once had in our childhood. Trust me, time is running, we did nothing just watched, but we must do something and more over as faster as it goes...

Recycle papers, plant the trees, send appeal to your politicians to take measures to protect your health, for the change instead being involved in might demonstrations around.

Be alert, its your problem too!

The existing jumpet façade that contains asbestos is placed two inches breathable and non-combustible rock wool and so obtain quality solution with excellent thermal and acoustic insulation building

Rijeka finished work on the skyscraper Zdravka Kucica 3, which his old and worn out jumpet facade decided to rehabilitate it so it posted stone wool. It is a material that is heat, sound insulation and vapor-permeable, non-combustible, what is very important for skyscrapers, and there is a limited shelf life.

This is a pilot project that is the result of cooperation between residents through authorized person of the skyscraper representative Mark Tomljanović, tenant associations of co-owners of residential buildings of the City of Rijeka, manager Ri-19 and Knauf Insulation as a manufacturer and supplier of stone wool, but also by the technical solution project to restore the skyscraper.

Thermal project

With the completion of the works, the building of Zdravko Kucica 3 becomes the first skyscraper in Rijeka, whose residents decided to form such a rehabilitation due to his height, which is 44 meters, and that the investment included the entire surface of the facade, which is 4,500 square meters.

It should be recalled that the renovation included a lineup of two-inch rockwool on existing jumpet facade (which contains asbestos) in the coming final layer of the facade. Thus, the total thickness of the insulation in this building is 6-8 centimeters, given the unevenness of the surface, we find out...(the article follows further)

Tatijana Published: 13 August 2012th at 17:56I do not work for Styrofoam or for Knauf, but I think Styrofoam  is less damaging. You may twist my words as much as you want, the fact remains that the tenants are targeted by the three causes of  diseases: asbestos, which is still there, it is added the glass wool over it, and the antennas on the roof, causes brain damage, repro organs etc. You deny it as you please, the facts remain facts. And when the facade will starts to a crack, and it will be, it is just the matter of time, this is very potential danger for the tenants. Is anyone seriously concerned for their health?  Why was bad solution to the problem solved by the even worse. In that matter are not only physical laws involved,  you know that electromagnetic field of the the higher frequency worse damages cells of the brain, lungs, eyes, ovaries ... Why? So that is something you should  knows by now, but not everything is in physics, some has something to do with chemistry and biology and a tiny bit of physiology ... So while you're so quick to criticize, hurry up please, see the internet, take the papers about the harmfulness of mobile antennas and mobile phones, have them, just do not close eyes on what you think do not fit in your frames, because it is our reality. Be quick in learning not only in criticizing, you may need it ...

Tatijana  Posted: 7th August 2012th at 21:32 Bravo, indeed environmentally friendly facade. Only, rock wool = glass wool above all, make damages to the lungs worse then asbestos, as the asbestos fibers are pressed, holding it together while glass wool at the slightest breeze is flying at all sides. Scenario? In a years when there are cracks in the facade occur, of which you are so enthusiastic, they will in every breath of wind, storm, vibrations from passing trucks and buses, from the street  nearby buildings, the  particles released by glass wool will get the apartments through the windows, people will breathe them in, into lungs and eyes, the organs suffering the most. One evil is replaced by another, no less harmful .... And the antennas on the roof! Do  you know that within 70 meters of the antenna is so called: "Non accessible zone"...
Do you know why?
I do not want to be cynical, but in this skyscraper I would not live.Truly feel sorrow for the tenants ...

And you Tatjana doing a competition that sets Styrofoam??

The vast majority of materials and substances are potentially toxic and even fatal, just a matter of quantity (and even drinking water if you get too drunk). This secenario to a tenant get a disease from the fibers trips from some cracks in the facade - the same probability like to hit a nugget of gold from space. Before going to get hurt falling down the stairs, etc.

Likewise, the radiation we are surrounded - are far more dangerous, especially these newer phones, but any dish on the roof - a simple physical law. So people rising panic about the antenna on the roof and sleep with the phone next to your head ...

Congratulations tenants now have a great insulated building, significantly lower costs for heating and cooling, and finally and most importantly - you dramatically reduce the "carbon footprint" and help preserve the environment.

SRDJ BELONGS TO US !

WARNING!!!

Dear reader!

On this place there was an article about problems Dubrovnik citizens have with their authorities who want to rise up the settlement bigger then Mokosica on a small plateau on the Srdj hill.

This article was removed today, close after midnight,  by one or more people who are terrorizing me for years and remove my posts, take out my mails, destroy my work, because they can do that.

They have stolen my poetry book I was writing for over 50 years, stolen 2 books in hand writing, diskette with my short stories...apart from jewels, golden items, clothes, shoes...

They block my internet lines, tap my telephone line, taking my letters from mail box, and do all possible to do me as more harm they can produce.

The medial blockage was imposed three years ago, last four months it was strongly empowered.

I truly see not what drives them and what joy makes them to do so.

I kindly ask my neighbors story below to stop intruding in my computer and destroying my work, because in the wide scale of their terror this is the smallest thing done to me but I can only wish it is the last one.

My mail box shrinked to 2/3 of former size.

If you want to send me any e mail, or call me I will not get any message so please use FACEBOOK to leave me any message, otherwise others I will not get.

Thank you for your understanding, Tatijana Malacko

SRDJ BELONGS TO US !

Dubrovnik citizens are collecting signatures for referendum against devastation of Srdj hill, above Dubrovnik, that investors wants to turn in so called golf park, framed by the over 200 villas of the rich enough who can buy a summer house there over viewing city and the see...

So, from the beginning wrong idea. Why? Because my selfish opinion is that there have to be park only, such the Marjan park hill, city Split has.

Only PARK! No golf holes, no artificial watering, no fertilizers, insecticides, no mineral oil from the caddies...

Why? Because the geological structure of the ground is a variety of dolomite, very porous, very fragile...That means that all the water used for watering terrains will go down and be brought to underground water basins, carrying all that water rinses out such as mineral oils, left by caddied, fertilizers used to improve grass growth, pesticides to remove nasty insecticides that would eat that nice grass as the salad. We must think about considerable home garbage, because humans pollute surrounding where ever they appear as if its some sort of lottery ...who pollute more in shorter time wins the prize...

We must think about the climate condition there. It says there are  almost no rain from end April to beg. October, the meaning said is that the lot of watering will be needed. But terrains are not the sole water user there. The numerous hotels during the touristic season spend almost all water that comes from underground river Ombla.

Go there and try to take shower after six pm. There is water still, yes, but  not as you used to have it...

So on whose account the arisen need for water will go after all?  Reduction of water in the middle of the touristic season, not good measure for the tourism. Leave the Dubrovnik citizens thirsty, bad for home people.
Not to watering terrains will turn grass into hay in no time, bad seeing...

Some think that there you may play golf all the year seasons, but what about 'bura', strong cold wind that turns trucks aside, certainly may carry golf ball in wrong direction...

Watching that hectic arguments in TV,  I have asked myself why on Earth, they insist to have that 'feast in the eye' golf terrains there, when Dubrovnik citizens said NO! Do they not count? Is their opinion so unimportant?!

After all the compromise agreement can be found.

We have Bjelolasica complex that is true, neglected without good reason why, but why the investors not try to do there. The terrains in the valley, no wind, mild climate in three seasons, in the winter ski place... True, no seeing sea, but nice to the top of the mountains, close to Rijeka and Kvarner islands full of tourists in the summer, full of water skiing and swimming maybe for the change would like to get to Bjelolasica at mild 25 degrees while coastal are have 35, to spent few days in the peace of mountains playing golf there...

Often rains there, watering will be not needed, that is for sure.
The hotels are already there, lot of needed is already done.

So, see,  there is always other solution, listen to the people and let them have the city they want to have.

Beside 'the minor' detail that Dubrovnik is listed by the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE list and therefore belongs to all of us, such intervention in its surrounding has to be stopped right away.

Those terrains may go to the other place, and they truly have. Bjelolasica is PERFECT solution to the problem.
Just think about it!

UPDATE:

The Dubrovnik  City Assembly session, July 30th the Assembly adopted the project 'Golf Park' .
By this, all efforts of Dubrovnik citizens turned into dust.

The city mayor Vlahusic called the referendum 'failed', although they got the needed majority.

We may discuss what park is going to be build on a small plateau of the Srdj hill, when the size of the settlement of over 200 villas, will take place of the surface bigger then Dubrovnik's suburb Mokosica.

The plateau is of limited surface, so where, after spreading this  over 200 villas, will be still space for the golf terraines?

The irritated citizens blocked main entrance to the Assembly, for they wanted to watch voting, but the guards did not let them to get into The Assembly building as the visitors, for the city mayor Mr. Vlahusic replied them that Dubrovnik TV transfers voting so they may watch it from their homes.
Being delayed for hour and half, the session took place, for the politicians used rare entrance.

Something about that leaves bitter taste.

If we are of the democratic constitution, where, in democracy, the citizens are welcomed to be concerned about their city, to watch, see, ask, get the replies by authorities, why on Earth, city mayor banned the Dubrovnik citizens of watching voting?

If the Dubrovnik mayor was elected by the will of the citizens, whose will he has to implement, whose interest he had to represent?

There were also some unclear situation about land-lording over the terrains on the Srdj hill, the citizens found out that their terrains are of the city property?!?

But still remains the fact that Dubrovnik has only one well of water supply and this is the under-ground river Ombla, that will be exhausted during the summer months being supplying water to hotels, cruisers and water for watering golf terrains.
The same terrains will be rinsing fertilizers, pesticides, motor oil, home waste and pollution into the river and the question is what after that...

The winds 'bura' and 'jugo'  may be that strong that they turn up side down the heavy trucks, the golf ball is far lighter than that, so on that days there will be no players on the plateau.

The space for new buildings in Dubrovnik is missing, and therefore is precious. This over 200 villas are only the betonizing Dubrovnik's surrounding nature...The investors may be satisfied getting the first class ground under the price of the sports facilities...

So, where is the next project the  'Golf Park'? Seeing the ambitions of the investors, maybe Matchu Pichu???

Resuming known facts, the  citizens who fought against it till the end, do not want that project and know why, and the rigidness of the authorities from the confronted side who used their power might to show the muscles, the pollution of the water basin to be,  the problem of the cruisers that are bringing only pollution to the sea, air and causes the vibration that, in due time may turn city walls into ruins such as Jericho was, for they simply can not stand vibrations caused by cruisers being built by the stones and not by the rubber, I must ask myself whose interest voted on the assembly session in Dubrovnik on July 30th?

 August 1st 2013.
